“SkyFix (Ewoud Beaufays) grew up in Belgium, in a musical family and got taught the piano in 1996, when he was only seven years young. In 1998, he left the piano for what it was, and started a new passion called percussion. He was thought the drums, marimba, xylophone, timbales, … and contiued these lessons for about six years.
In ’03-’04, due to the rise of popularity in drum and bass music, he got hooked to the electronic music scene. And it didn’t take long for him to start making his own electronic music, using Propellerheads’ Reason 3.0.
It started with drum and bass and some breakcore, but soon develloped into psytrance. With his psytrance, he did a few gigs under the name ‘Gandharva’. Now, being a very relaxed person himself, in 2009 he discovered his potential for making relaxing music, was far greater than that for uplifting music. Thus started the project called ‘SkyFix’. The name is derived from a song by ’65 Days Of Static’ called ‘Fix The Sky A Little’.
He now makes his music using Logic Pro 8 and a whole bunch of VST’s. SkyFix has never gigged before, but would not decline an offer.
